The future of medical device connectivity

DMEA22, Connecting Digital Health Congress, took place in May. For us, the focus was on cross-vendor interoperability of medical devices using the example of a networked, integrated endoscopic workstation. The basis for this is the IEEE 11073 service-oriented device connectivity (SDC) communication standard.

At the OR.Net e.V. booth we used a demonstrator to show that SDC can already function across manufacturers together with Erbe Elektromedizin GmbH and B. Braun SE.
