Aesculap and Schölly shape the future Company shares reorganized

Last Wednesday, the shareholders of Schölly Fiberoptic GmbH decided to reorganize the company shares. Through this resolution, Aesculap AG becomes the main shareholder. The Schölly family remains a major shareholder.

The long-standing cooperation between the two family-owned companies is thus continued and intensified. The management with company founder Regula Schölly and the two managing directors Prof. Dr. Holger
Reinecke (CEO) and Mirko Beiser (CFO) will continue to run the business of Schölly Fiberoptic GmbH in Denzlingen. The reorganization of the company's shares does not result in any change in the company's previous business focus. Schölly will continue to offer visualization expertise to all interested customers. The transaction is subject to the customary closing conditions.

"We are happy about this development, which opens up a clear perspective for growth. To secure our future, it is necessary to make major investments in the form of capacity, digitalization, human resources and professionalization. Through the reorganization, we are taking the necessary steps to achieve this. With Aesculap, we have the right partner at our side", says company founder and shareholder Regula Schölly.

Dr. Joachim Schulz, CEO of Aesculap AG, is convinced of the joint strength. "We are looking forward to continue the excellent cooperation and to position ourselves even stronger together in the market with our innovations. The decision demonstrates great mutual trust and I am sure that we will become even stronger with our common identity", he says.

Aesculap and Schölly have been working together intensively in the field of endoscopic visualization since 1989. Initially formed as the joint venture Aesculap Fleximed GmbH, this was followed in 1998 by Aesculap's entry as a
shareholder into Schölly. Over the years, the product range of Aesculap and Schölly has been continuously developed and expanded in a strategic partnership. The 3D camera system EinsteinVision® is the best-known
example of this cooperation and is already established on the market in its third generation.
