Half a century Schölly: Company celebrates with family festival
Last weekend, the courtyard of Schölly Fiberoptic GmbH was transformed into a colorful festival area. Around 600 guests, including more than 150 children, celebrated the company's 50th anniversary together.
A varied children's program was organized for the youngest guests, which was specially tailored to their needs. For example, they were able to perform endoscopic surgery on mythical creatures in the "Crazy Surgery" area, develop their creative skills in a design corner with CAD computers and 3D printers, get active at various painting stations or experience movement games.
Prof. Dr. Holger Reinecke, Managing Director, and Ina Vosseler, Marketing Communications, guided the guests through the official program in the marquee. They began with an entertaining journey through five decades of the company's history.
Another topic on the program was a speech by Anna Maria Braun, CEO of the B. Braun Group from Melsungen. In her address, she paid tribute to the achievements of the founding couple Regula and Werner Schölly. She emphasized their extraordinary flair for people, their ability to grow the company over the long term, and their gift for developing innovative products and bringing them successfully to market.
Ms. Braun emphasized that Schölly and Aesculap, the surgery division of the B. Braun Group, have already grown closely together and share a strong common identity. The companies and their employees are passionate about protecting and improving the health of people around the world.
Supporting local associations and thus working for the well-being of children and young people is also a characteristic that unites the entrepreneurs Anna Maria Braun and Regula Schölly. Together with Claudia Schölly-Holubarsch, who was on stage representing her mother, and Prof. Dr. Holger Reinecke, Braun presented a check for €50,000 to Matthias Schubien, the first chairman of the Turnverein Denzlingen. The money will be used for a project that has been planned for a long time: the construction of a beach volleyball and beach handball facility that will benefit the community and especially children and young people.
After the official program, employees had the opportunity to take their families on a tour "From idea to product" through the company premises. There were a variety of stations where it was vividly explained how a medical product is developed and produced. In the demo operating room, visitors were able to see the modern 3D visualization for themselves.
The festive day came to an end with a barbecue buffet and time for personal exchanges. It was not only a celebration of the past, but also a look ahead to a promising future.
Schölly would like to thank everyone who participated in this special day and helped to make this celebration an unforgettable event.
