Thanh Xuan Vi is the longest employee on duty, a fact which Regula Schölly emphasized and particularly appreciated when she honored him with the words "He was always with us".

Arriving in Kollnau, Germany, in 1980 as a refugee from Laos via Vietnam, his anniversary symbolizes a special topicality in today's world. Mr. Vi arrived, applied for a job as a fiber optics specialist, got his chance and took it. He built his life in Germany and started a family. His six children have all studied and are now spread all over the world.

In a small ceremony, the management congratulated him and thanked him for his remarkable commitment, his loyalty and his high degree of collegiality and helpfulness.
