Blood donation – matter of the heart

Contributing to the well-being of people and doing good together. A good 70 people at SCHÖLLY heeded this call and took part in the company blood donation campaign together with the GRC (German Red Cross) Blood Donation Service Baden-Württemberg - Hessen and the GRC local group Denzlingen on December 8, 2022.

The recreation room was transformed into a blood donation center for this day. From registration to filling out the health questionnaire and the doctor's consultation to the blood donation with subsequent rest area, everything could take place in familiar surroundings.

Before going back to work, the donors were able to fortify themselves at a hot and cold buffet. The common goal of doing good brought people in the company together and into conversation. On this day, 55 people were able to donate their blood.

SCHÖLLY gave the donors time off for the time they needed. B Braun Aesculap additionally supported the campaign with presents. GRC Blood Donation Service Baden-Württemberg provided all the equipment and the necessary doctors and staff. The GRC team of the local group Denzlingen additionally supported the action with personnel.

It was a great atmosphere and action that will continue to have an effect for a long time and perhaps encourage other companies to follow suit.

All those who donated and helped organize the event are already looking forward to the next joint blood drive.
