Arthroscopes

HD quality for arthroscopy.

Arthroscopy is used to examine and treat small joints, such as the wrist, or large joints, such as the knee, shoulder, hip, elbow and ankle joints. Basis for this are the arthroscopes that provide the image. At SCHÖLLY, the rod lens endoscopes feature first-class HD quality. Users get razor-sharp, high-contrast images with natural color reproduction. In combination with a Full HD endoscopy camera, these images are transmitted to the monitor without loss of quality.

The video algorithm „grid removal" of the FlexiVision camera series additionally optimizes the image of the 2.0 mm image bundle arthroscopes by reducing the visibility of the honeycomb structure as much as possible.

Key Features

Quality feature: HDScope

2.7 mm and 4.0 mm arthroscopes

  • The lettering HDScope means that the arthroscope is ideally suited for use with an HD endoscopy tower and guarantees the best possible image quality. The purity of the lenses and coating contribute to this.
  • The optical system is calculated and aligned with regard to the best possible resolution. This ensures that it can accept the HD resolution of the camera.

Longevity

  • The arthroscopes are subjected to endurance tests under maximum load to ensure material compatibility.
  • They also have a leaktight construction to ensure a long service life.
  • Their reprocessing efficiency has been validated in accordance with WHO requirements for medical devices.

Compatibility

  • We offer a range of arthroscopes with different sheath locking systems to ensure mechanical compatibility with the sheath systems of other manufacturers.
  • The external dimensions (working length, working diameter) and optical parameters are customized for use with the sheath of the respective system or manufacturer.
  • The user always receives the image information the need for the particular application.
  • When comparing directly with reference endoscopes from other manufacturers, users may notice slight variations in image. For example, the direction of view display may look different or there may be small differences in the field of view. However, this in no way diminishes the image information required for arthroscopy.
