The FlexiScope 3 camera handpiece is a versatilely applicable connecting device for FlexiVision 100. The camera handpiece is characterized by an extensive program of probes, quick change of probes, ergonomic construction and simple handling.

The FlexiScope 3 camera handpiece is part of a modular inspection system. For the basic equipment of a ready-to-operate system, you need the following components: FlexiScope 3 camera handpiece with compatible probe, the camera base unit FlexiVision 100, as well as a monitor.

Work simply - and free from fatigue

With a length of 155 mm and a weight of 125 g, the FlexiScope 3 camera handpiece is light and easy to handle, when compared to other endoscope cameras. For the user, these factors play a role especially for the inspection of very small bore holes. These require precise maneuvering. Weight, size and ergonomic design are also important for inspections over a longer time for example, 100% inspections. With the light handpiece, work can be carried out for hours without fatigue. The camera handpiece is connected to the camera base unit FlexiVision 100 with only one plug. Because of the LED integrated into the handpiece, no separate light source and no additional light guide are needed. In this way, the weight and the restrictions of the light guides are eliminated. This gives the user even more mobility.

Quick conversion for frequently changing inspection tasks

The FlexiScope 3 camera handpiece can be adapted to new inspection tasks in seconds. With the FlexiLock quick coupling, the probe is connected to the camera handpiece. SCHÖLLY offers a comprehensive program of probes starting at a working diameter of 0.7 mm. You can buy further suitable probes from this program at any time. Quick probe exchange allows simple handling e.g. for frequently changing inspection tasks. All FlexiScope 2 and 3 probes can be attached to the FlexiScope 3 camera handpiece.

Precise operation possible

For better operation, the focusing of the FlexiScope 3 camera handpiece is equipped with a lever. With this lever, the focusing can be moved more sensitively and precisely. An inspection, for example, in work gloves is also effortlessly possible.

 

 

Integrated LED technology

No separate light source necessary

With the LED technology integrated into the handpiece, there is no need for a separate light source for inspections. So the operator has more mobility. At the same time, costs and space requirements for a stationary light source are eliminated. The FlexiScope 3 camera handpiece works with the newest LED technology, which, when compared to the LED module of its previous system FlexiScope 2, provides even better illumination. 

Full HD resolution

High image quality provides morde details

The 1/3” CMOS image sensor of the FlexiScope 3 camera handpiece enables a full HD image rendering. Together with the camera base unit FlexiVision 100 and the corresponding probes with a rod lens system, the FlexiScope 3 camera handpiece delivers over 2 mio. pixels (1920 x 1080 pixels). Conventional inspection systems with PAL resolution, in contrast, achieve only 440k pixels. With the higher resolution in full HD, the inspection image is richer in detail.

Achieving better results by using algorithms

The image transmission of probes with working diameter of less than 2 mm takes place via image bundles. This kind of transmission provides a high degree of flexibility. By means of the bendable probe, difficult-to-access areas in miniaturized components can be easily reached. Image bundles transmit a limited number of image points, so a full HD reproduction is not possible from a technical point of view. In contrast to conventional endoscope cameras, however, the image quality can be enhanced with the camera base unit FlexiVision 100. With the help of the video algorithm “Grid Removal”, for example, the typical honeycomb structure caused by the image bundles can be removed.
