The charitable organization Salem International and the association Tukolere Wamu are pleased about a donation of 4,166 euros. The staff and the works council of Schölly Fiberoptic GmbH laid the foundation for this amount during the Christmas collection 2021. The sum was doubled by a private donation from Regula Schölly.

100 percent of the money goes to the Salem Village near Mbale in southeastern Uganda. Here a former Schölly employee is engaged in a voluntary service. Through the many impressions he regularly gave to his former colleagues and the management, this high sum was collected.

The donation will support both the Salem Health Center on its way to being upgraded to a hospital and the improvement of hygiene in rural Uganda by financing so-called village latrines. The donation thus ensures better health care for the population in rural Uganda and was received with great thanks.
