Stefan Schnekenburger expands the Executive Board and will become chairman

As of September 1, 2023, Stefan Schnekenburger expands the Executive Board of Schölly Fiberoptic GmbH and takes over the chairmanship from Prof. Dr. Holger Reinecke. Mr. Schnekenburger was most recently responsible for supply chain management and procurement at B. Braun's surgery division Aesculap.

Prof. Dr. Holger Reinecke will step down from the management of Schölly Fiberoptic GmbH on January 1, 2024, and continue his work as a member of the Management Board for Research & Development and Regulatory Affairs at Aesculap AG.

"I am very pleased that with Stefan Schnekenburger comes an experienced industrial engineer who has known Schölly for a long time from his time as Managing Director of the former joint venture Aesculap Fleximed. Together, we will enable a seamless transition in the chairmanship of the management board," says Prof. Dr. Holger Reinecke, who has led the Schölly since January 2015.

Stefan Schnekenburger has 19 years of experience in various areas at medical technology companies. At Aesculap, he initially headed Technical Service and took over Supply Chain Management in 2017.

"I am very happy to accept the challenge and look forward to continuing the 50-year Schölly success story together with the employees," said Stefan Schnekenburger in his first reaction.
